American Royal World Series of Barbecue® Invitational Contest
The World Series of Barbecue is the largest barbecue competition in the world bringing teams together from over ten countries to compete for the title of Open and Invitational Grand Champion. In order to be eligible for the 2020 Invitational Contest, teams are required to have won a Grand Championship from a qualifying contest through one of our partnering sanctioning bodies prior to July 1, 2020. Teams compete in Chicken, Pork Ribs, Pork (shoulder or Boston Butt) and Beef Brisket. In order to be eligible for Grand Champion, teams must turn in for all four categories.
